What is this video about?
Building good habits is more than just a routine it's a way to improve your life. Habits are the foundation for success productivity, and personal growth. Today, I want to explain how I track and manage my habit records using a tool called Notion. I use a reward system and motivational quotes to help me develop good habits. It has completely changed the way I approach building habits.
Let's look at the homepage of the Habit Tracker. The first thing you see is the overview section. I can see my progress at a glance identify trends, and make changes to my habits if needed. Next, I can quickly check my daily habit list in the "today" section or by using the buttons in the "quick access" section on the left. Here, I can also keep track of whether I have completed my habits or not.
Clicking into the page allows me to choose some quotes from my collection that keep me motivated to complete all of today's habits. At the time of quote selection, you'll notice a star icon next to the quote, indicating that I've added this quote as a favorite. I'll share more about the quote system in the next sections. Moving on to the reward section, the reward overview keeps me motivated by showing my earned rewards and milestones.
It's a great way to celebrate small victories and keep going. Below is my habit book. By entering the page I can add new goals and rewards for them. I can access the reward page, select the start and end times for a goal, & the progress for that date will be shown below, allowing me to better track my progress towards my goal. When the goals and date are reached, the system sends a reminder prompting me to claim my reward here.
Returning to the habit page, I can also add to the activity log. When I click this button, the system automatically records the current time for me. Moving on to the bottom section, the reward section, I gain insight into the goals and rewards I set for each habit. When the reward block displays "reward settlement," it means the goal has reached its deadline, and I can claim my reward at this time. After completing the settlement of a reward goal I can click "archive" to hide it away.
When I want to look back on past reward goals, I can come to the archive section to review them. Back at the top here, I can navigate to different specialized pages using the navigation bar, such as quotes. Right on this page, I can add new quotes to my collection and mark them as favorites using the handy quick add button on the left. I can also drag and drop quotes into the favorites list.
In the "latest used" section, I can keep track of the quotes I'm currently using. I have a few favorite quote authors, so I regularly keep track of the quotes they share. I can visit the author section to see all the quotes posted by different authors. Back on the navigation bar I can access the review report.
I can check the current cycle and reflect on my performance for each week or month. It will display the average completion rate of the habit list. Returning to the "Quick Add" section on the left side of the main page, I can quickly add habits, rewards, and quotes. When adding rewards, if I forget to assign them to a habit a reminder appears below.
I just need to access the page & assign a habit for the goal. The Notion Habit Tracker has become my go-to tool for personal development. It digitizes our habit performance, making habits measurable rather than elusive goals. This allows us to gain a visual insight into our habits and personal growth objectives.
I hope you now have a better understanding of Notion, and I aim to assist everyone in cultivating good habits & achieving personal growth. You can access this habit tracker through the link provided.
